Sauvignon Blanc, Tinpot Hut, Marlborough, New Zealand 2016
Pale lemon in colour with intense, lifted aromas reminiscent of passion fruit, blackcurrant, lemongrass and fresh thyme.
A complex palate with classic Blind River characters that shine through: blackcurrant bud and sweet green herbs; with underlying ripe fruit and mineral notes. A pleasingly rich and powerful Sauvignon Blanc with well-balanced acidity and a long lingering finish.
Fruit for this wine is sourced from specially selected vineyards in the Blind River sub-region with the balance coming from the rich silty soils of Dillon`s Point in the Lower Wairau.
“That teams of highly attuned sommeliers keep on picking it out for Gold, blind, year after year, vintage after vintage is a truly remarkable testament to the vineyards and the winemaker”. Sommelier Wine Awards, UK
