Summer Time Sipping Case (6 bottles)

Summer Time Sipping Case (6 bottles)

There's nothing quite like that first sip of wine on a balmy summer evening…. Despite the British reality of coats in July, barbecuing under umbrellas and swamped festivals, we still want the wines to go with the dream! Best of all: you don't need to blow the bank or choke down vinegar to afford it.

We’ve put together a summer wine case with everything from a light and crisp Sauvignon Blanc and a cherry rich South African rosé to a sparkling Prosecco to enjoy with a BBQ (in your welly boots).

All of this topped off with a cheerful discount to make your season even sweeter (or if you don't want to commit to the whole case, order it by the single bottle) !

Sparkling

Prosecco Lunetta NV £8.00

A deliciously light and fruity Prosecco with aromas of stone fuits, particularly peach, and also hints of apple. A crisp, light, and well-balanced wine with fresh, soft sparkles, a creamy mousse and delicate apple and pear characters.

White

Sauvignon Blanc, The Cloud Factory, Marlborough, New Zealand 2015 £7.50

Perfumed with nettle & ripe tropical fruits which are evident on the palate along with limey flavours and a rich minerality- classic Marlborough Sauvignon. The wine is sappy fresh, clean and delicious.

Aphros Loureiro 2014 £12.00

This light, fresh, vibrant wine displays a variety of pleasant citrus fruits on the palate such as lemon, lime and grapefruits. Fruits, flowers and minerality are the key notes within a delicate balance between sweetness and acidity. Aged on the lees for 2 months before bottling, this gives a yeasty undertone to the wine.

Rosé

Cape Heights Rosé 2013 £6.30

The sun-ripened grapes of this delicious cherry pink rosé display soft, delicate aromas, with hints of cranberries, redcurrants and wild strawberries. The palate has some weight with citrus and an almost hoppy aroma, with some slight leafiness. There is a bright, fresh, zestiness with stony mineral acidity, making it perfect for matching with food.

Cuveé Jean-Paul Gascogne Rosé, IGP Côtes de Gascogne 2014 £5.90

A vivid pale strawberry pink with aromas of crushed red berries, laced with an exotic twist. On the palate instantly appealing soft berry flavours mingle with a smooth, yet textural finish to make this an uncomplicated, easy drinking fresh and fruity dry rosé of real character.

Red

Pinot Noir, Thierry Puzelat, Touraine, France 2013 £13.50

This Loire Valley Pinot Noir is made from the reputable Thierry Puzelat. Pure Pinot Noir character on the palate with raspberries, thyme, cherries and game. Young and boasting a slight prickle. We recommend decanting before drinking.
