Chateau Musar, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon, 1972
A beautiful, harmonious, aromatic intensity to the nose. On the pallet: resin, incense, but also tobacco, pine, candied fruits, and caramel. In the mouth, the wine is silky, elegant, with a beautiful balance between softness and acidity. Fine and full-bodied. Long finale. Similar in style to Chateauneuf-du-Pape with a warm, spicy sweetness. More leather and cassis fruit. An interesting, complex wine.
