Greco di Tufo, Vesevo, Italy 2013
Vesevo wines come from the Irpinian hill area inland from Naples, situated 450-550 metres above sea level, and subject to a cool sea breeze from the Bay of Naples. This is a lovely appealing summer wine that is refreshing yet complex.
Lemon-gold in colour with an intense, aromatic perfume of ripe pears with a honeyed, almond note. Plenty of crisp apples, citrus fruit and stonefruit on show with slight herbal edges and a little minerality. Perfect with Italian antipasti.
