Pinot Noir, Ocio, Casablanca Valley, Chile 2011

Pinot Noir, Ocio, Casablanca Valley, Chile 2011

This wine was made by Cono Sur's head winemaker, Adolfo Hurtado, with the help of his friend Martin Prieur from Domaine Jacques Prieur in Burgundy. Adolfo and Cono Sur have earned a reputation around the world for the quality of their pinots - and a well-deserved reputation it is too.

The wine has a beautiful, concentrated ruby red colour of high intensity. Complex and delicate forest fruit aromas with flowery, violet notes merge wonderfully with sweet spices and chocolate. On the palate it expresses intense sweet fruits, elegance, rich texture and concentrated flavours.

This amazing Pinot Noir has very soft tannins, a great structure.
